Higher Learning Commission (HLC)
Indiana State University has been accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) since 1915. The accreditation process has two primary goals: to ensure the quality of institutions of higher education and to promote continuous improvement.
ISU was last reviewed in 2020. The next comprehensive evaluation will occur in 2030-2031.

Specialized Accreditations
In addition to institutional accreditation conferred by the HLC, many of ISU’s educational programs are accredited by specialized agencies, such as discipline-based organizations and professional associations.
